Zach Conrad Affected By a Devastating Garage Fire

Writer: Calvin SawkinsCalvin Sawkins

Zach Conrad is in an active member of the Highlands Ranch Hot Rodders car club.  Over the past weekend he lost everything in a Devastating Garage Fire. This fire burned everything - a total loss; 1985 Jeep Comanche, his Hot Rod engine Tools, everything.

Last summer I saw him and his heavily modified Jeep at many of the HRHR meets. Zach would always make sure he walked around and visited with club members as well as showing off his Engineering abilities, a true feat of putting a custom build Ford motor in his Jeep Comanche.

This picture was taken as Zach cruised into the Highlands Ranch Classic Car Show held June 1st, 2024.

A little more history on Zach. He is a 21 year old Hot Rodder, hard to find a guy like this these days. He looked at his Jeep one day and though to himself that 6 cylinder is not cutting it. No power there! After saving up a lot of money he purchased a custom built Fast Ranger Motorsports 410W. A huge day in this young mans life! Zach and his friend Nick got to work pulling out the old motor and modifying everything to take the the high horsepower motor he purchased.

Why leave it stock when you can Hot Rod it?

Below is a video of him firing it up for the first time.

At one of the meets I looked at Zach and said: "Bud why did you put a Ford motor in your Jeep?" He laughed and looked at me and said: "Well anybody can put a Small Block Chevy in a Jeep". He's right, if you want to stick out in a crowd of Hot Rods do something different. This was defiantly different!

Zach attended the Lone Tree Cars and Coffee/Diaper Depot charity car show, where he was delivering a load of diapers with his Jeep that were donated by Titan Car Condos.

Zach could really use some help here, there was no insurance on any of his losses.

Your help will really benefit Zach. He needs to start over after the fire destroyed all of his hobby items.

Also, if anyone has spare tools, jack stands, hand tools or any other garage items they would like to donate, please bring them to any of the HRHR events.
